When a binaural beat is simply played over ordinary music, dense parts of the track can mask the carrier bands that make the left/right difference readable. The result may sound fine, while the signal itself becomes harder to verify.
BIFROST monitors the external audio in real time and only adjusts the narrow frequency areas that compete with the carrier. Instead of lowering the whole track, it creates a small, temporary opening for the generated signal.

Micro-fluctuations for a more natural feel
Fixed test tones can feel rigid over time. BIFROST adds a natural 1/f fluctuation pattern to the carrier while keeping the binaural Delta intact, aiming for a softer listening texture during longer sessions.
Smart separation from background music
When music or ambient sound overlaps the carrier, DNEQ 2.0 detects the collision and makes a narrow, local adjustment to the external audio. The goal is to keep the carrier more readable without flattening the music you chose.
Subtle variation against monotony
A flat audio loop can fade into the background. BIFROST uses micro-silence and related timing changes to keep the output from feeling like one unbroken, monotonous tone.

Dual-frequency control
Binaural audio depends on preserving the left/right frequency difference, Delta. But the carrier itself does not have to feel frozen. RT-GEN keeps Delta tightly controlled while 1/F DRIFT adds subtle, natural movement to the carrier, giving the signal a less mechanical texture for longer listening.
Carrier-tracking notch
When you layer BIFROST with music, some frequency bands can compete with the carrier. DNEQ 2.0 follows the moving carrier and lightly lowers only the overlapping part of the external audio when needed, helping preserve both the music's feel and the carrier's audible margin.
Micro-silence gating
Continuous audio can start to feel like background texture. BIFROST inserts extremely short silence gates at irregular intervals while its internal phase calculation keeps running. The goal is to add subtle variation without creating a noticeable break in the session.
Phase-locked AM
This control mathematically aligns the peak of the beat created by the left/right sine-wave difference with the peak of the volume pulsing, or AM. That gives the signal a clearer structural contour while keeping comfort first: BIFROST does not use AM below 7 Hz or above 30 Hz.
Sweep-linked deceleration
In PROGRAM mode, Delta shifts gradually over time. If the visual motion or panning speed changed separately, the session could feel stepped or disconnected. BIFROST links those movements to the same deceleration curve, creating a smoother sense of descending into the session.
Octave escape
Bass-heavy or dense music can crowd the carrier band. When BIFROST detects that audible margin is too limited, it can move the carrier relationship to a higher, less crowded band while maintaining Delta. Think of it as an escape route for keeping the signal readable inside busy audio.
Patent pending (Japan). "Patent pending" states the fact that applications have been filed; it does not guarantee grant or scope.
